SideDoor - Chicago
SideDoor is an American gastropub within a larger restaurant, Lawry's the Prime Rib. In a casual room with an open kitchen on the west side of the magnificent old McCormick Mansion, SideDoor serves a range of beer-friendly snacks and meals
(though there's much more than just beer in this "pub," including expertly mixed cocktails, a good selection of wines and an extensive whisky menu). Nibble oysters and mussels, cheese and charcuterie, or go bigger with plates -- like chili and generous sandwiches -- featuring the prime rib that made Lawry's famous. If you're not in the mood for a formal dinner, and just want to grab something delicious in this historic building, SideDoor is where you want to go...and feel free to come as you are: on a typical evening, you'll see people in suits as well as others in jeans and sweaters.
