Cindy's Rooftop - Chicago
The scene-y rooftop lounge and restaurant is located on the 13th floor of the Chicago Athletic Club Hotel. Its biggest draw is the view, of course, which includes Millennium Park, Grant Park, Michigan Avenue and Lake Michigan.
During warm months, Cindy's is an open-air establishment, which makes it extremely popular during the summer. It's a place to congregate over large-format punches and cocktails as well as a rotating menu of seasonal dishes.
Its interior is meant to resemble a Great Lakes beach house, giving guests a taste of the "good life" enjoyed by Chicago's rich and famous. Highly polished hardwood accents on the picnic tables, floor-to-ceiling windows and reclaimed antique light fixtures give the space a contemporary appeal.
They'll find that Cindy's is inspired by the famed Hyatt Regency family, which includes Jay and Cindy Pritzker (There's a Warhol portrait of the socialite/philanthropist prominently displayed in the bar).
