The Sofitel's red-hued, lobby-level restaurant serves American contemporary cuisine with French accents. The menu is seasonal and Executive Chef Greg Biggers works with many local farmers and purveyors to insure the freshest ingredients.

This place is an excellent find for CA . It has won awards for being one of the most romantic dinner settings. I thought it had a very cool vibe! It is a bit pricey, but to be expected for location and quality of food. The grilled octopus appetizer is excellent as well.

The Sofitel hotel’s restaurant Café des Architectes has been replaced by a new restaurant, CDA. There is no comparison, the food was terrible. My roasted potatoes were greasy and tasted like they were cooked with old oil. My caprese omelet was flavorless. At least the décor is the same and the service was excellent. If you do go there, just order coffee and enjoy the surroundings. There are many other breakfast options within a few blocks.
