Excellent location that's close to shopping, restaurants and major attractions. Easily accessible by various public transit systems. In a safe location with lots of parking options in the area. The room was clean and comfortable with plenty of space.
I payed extra for a premium room. The room my view had was of my tv which was like 70" in front of the window. It was a cave. I even told the front desk...
Fantastic experience from the moment we stepped out of our cab. We were greeted politely by a guy whose name I believe was Ariel. He informed us that our room was not yet ready, but instead of making us wait around, he upgraded us to a better suite than we had paid for. This was essentially two separate rooms, which was perfect for us. There were two bathrooms, two safes, two TVs, you get the picture. Lots of windows too, 6 if I remember correctly. We were in suite 2601. Views were great, wait time for the elevators was never long. The executive tower of the hotel is a really interesting building in itself and it’s worth taking 20 minutes to have a walk around the different floors and just admire the grandeur. The pool is awesome too, nice architecture and nice and deep (deep end is 10 feet). Overall this would be my hotel of choice if I were in Chicago again and would not hesitate to recommend it to anybody. Oh, and the entire hotel was spotlessly clean, even areas in the room you would expect to be overlooked were clean!
Let me be straight here. I asked front desk to clean my room since I will have business guests over. The hotel did not only left the room as it was but some of my belongings went missing. I lost over $800. The hotel promised a great view of Chicago and accepted to pay over $1k for 2 nights. The windows were so dirty that made the view unattractive. Terrible, terrible experience. They also charge me an extra $30 on my credit card when I checked out without any explanation. There are better hotels just around the corner. I hope my contribution here helps you avoid the experience I had to go through next time you plan to visit this beautiful city.
Enjoyed a mostly positive three night stay here for a basic room on the 37th floor using IHG points. I appreciated the welcome at check-in for being...
