Weekend Planner: Yard Sale at Ina's, ENOversity, and All You Can Eat at Allium

Ina's Farewell Yard Sale

Now that the West Loop's iconic Ina's has closed its doors, the restaurant is hosting a farewell yard sale this weekend. The storied restaurant is chock full of memories for many, right down to the bounteous salt and pepper shakers Ina Pinkney collected over the years. This is your chance to take a piece of Ina's home with you and cherish it forever and ever. There will be salt and pepper shakers, chairs, plateware, and espresso equipment. Be there January 17 and 18 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Cash only.

Attend ENOversity at ENO Wine Bar

The next installment in ENO Wine Bar's eclectic ENOversity series takes place this Sunday, January 19, wherein certified sommelier Michael Roberts guides guests on a tour of Spanish wines. A flight of five Spanish wines will be on hand, including Cava, sherry, whites, and reds. Because folks can't live on wine alone, the event will feature Spanish cheese and charcuterie, plus chocolate from local chocolatiers. To conclude, each guest gets to bring home a bottle of their favorite wine from the evening. The event begins at 6:00 p.m. and costs $50 per person. Call 312-321-8738 to reserve a spot.

Eat All You Can at Allium

Allium takes the misery out of winter with a couple all-you-can-eat promos running weekly through the end of February. Starting this week, guests can feast on "fish fry Fridays" and "pig roast Tuesdays." The fish fry, available for lunch and dinner, features beer-battered Wisconsin walleye with cole slaw, hush puppies, hand-cut fries, tartar sauce, hot sauce, and winter citrus meringue pie. The pig roast is dinner-only and includes an internationally inspired array of pig trimmings, from pulled shoulder tacos to ham and shank with kimchi broth and quail egg. Both cost $32 per person.
