Pros: the Al Pastor and Fish Tacos had great, fresh flavor, and were well cooked. The price was a bit higher than similar tacos elsewhere, but it felt like I got my money's worth for the tacos. The margaritas were very tasty and strong. Also, the server, Benjamin L., was very nice.
I liked that the ingredients were locally sourced and fresh, and that the plates were well arranged, and I appreciate that a higher cost comes from that. However...
Cons: We waited far past our reservation time for a table. The restaurant was very noisy, and it was difficult to carry a conversation. The chips and salsa were lackluster, especially considering the high price. When the food came out, the plates were all delivered to the wrong people, causing confusion. The ceviche was a tiny portion, and considering the price of the dish. It wasn't large enough to share, or even large enough for a person's meal. It was a bit frustrating. The service was slow, except for the payment process.
Overall, it was a negative experience. We will go to a less trendy Mexican restaurant that serves food that's as good or better.
