Very nice diner with friends, varied menu choices, great service, quiet atmosphere.
Never disappoints!! Great food and drinks.
Absolutely fabulous place with a wonderful menu and staff. The walls are decorated with photos of this north side neighborhoods history. Specials everyday of the week, and a great list of Cocktails, wines, and beers. Be sure to try the fried pickles, Crispy Buttermilk Chicken sandwich or the Beef Stroganoff, some of my favorites, but everything on the menu is a foodie's dream.
We went here for brunch yesterday and in a pinch it was okay. It was closer to 11:30 a.m. when we arrived and we stopped here because there was no wait. That should have tipped us off. A place that serves brunch and doesn't have a wait on a Sunday morning. The waitress was a very nice girl who sat us promptly. I ordered a 2 x 2 x 2 breakfast which had 2 eggs, 2 pancakes, and 2 pieces of bacon. My husband ordered a BLT on wheat. Not that difficult of an order for a restaurant that had maybe 3 other families there. It took forever for the kitchen to bring our food out. When the food came out my husband's BLT was on white bread so he had to send it back. The food was decent and is why I am giving 3 stars instead of 2.
