Holy Guacamole! Yes, I am being silly, but the guacamole is for serious lovers of fresh avocado... and they add chili (pepper) ash to garnish it, which adds an incredible flavor! I had the enchilada dish and I was immediately taken back to my childhood with the flavors! The Salpicon was also rich in flavors... with homemade tortilla chips and half bottles of wine on Tuesday, I will return the next time I am in Chicago!

I visited Mi Tocaya with my husband and 7-month-old baby this evening, and it was absolutely lovely! The staff made sure the baby had everything he needed and didn’t make us feel weird for bringing a baby to dinner. The food was delicious — great guacamole and enchiladas! Baby even got a little bowl of baby guac (just smashed avocado we added lime to). We will definitely be returning!

I do not know how this place got a high rating. It was the worst food I have tasted. The enchiladas were mini empanada made from discs that had a refrigerator taste. The cheese in it was awful tasting. The other plates had no flavor. The olives was the only flavor. The plates were very small servings but at least if it tasted fresh it would be worth it. Who pays $ 25 for a burrito? This place is over rated! I would give it zero stars if I could. It was a total disappointment.

Great dining experience. Their menu is very well designed and executed including many authentic dishes cooked with love. My favourite was the duck carnitas. They also offer a fantastic cocktail menu and the staff was super friendly.

Everything was perfect. can’t believe it took so long to come here. the broccolini was to die for. the shrimp was the best i’ve ever had. steak burrito was the best burrito i’ve ever had, and the birria 😭😭💖💖💖i love this place!

Absolutely beautiful plates of food which taste incredible. All freshly prepared and with drinks that compliment the dishes. Best Mexican food we’ve ever had and would highly recommend. We arrived out of peak hours but I’d recommend booking as it is deservedly popular at peak times.

Wow incredible food! Brilliant use of Mexican flavors with innovative technique. The oyster taco and the fish with mole were standouts. Cocktails were delicious and inventive as well, especially the one with hoja Santa.
