I’m sorry I don’t have a picture of the sandwich but it was beautiful. I had the Mr. G (see photo) and it was possibly the best sandwich I’ve ever had. Growing up in Queens has exposed me to some amazing sandwiches, and usually a good chicken cutlet hero with Russian, cheddar and bacon takes the cake for me. This simple Italian sandwich takes the cake though. Delicious combo of meats and cheese, just the right amount of lettuce and beautiful thinly sliced tomatoes with enough heat to make me appreciate the Italian Cherry Soda but not overpower it. The best part is that despite it being packed at non on a Tuesday, the brother and sister owners, along with the rest of the staff, went way out of their way to provide outstanding customer service. This is now a fixed stop anytime we visit Chicago and has me feeling a little guilty towards my old favorites. Thank you!
