JB's Deli - Chicago
Yes, it's a Jewish-style delicatessen inside a drugstore!

Literally the best Reuben I ever ate, it had what seemed like a half pound of meat on it. Meanwhile there selection of drinks are fantastic. There selection of sandwiches will satisfy anyone's taste. I got to try the one they call "My Doctor needs a new car". Will be back again and again.
We've recently started a "begin the weekend" tradition the past two months of grabbing a "Nova lox platter for two" (plus some bagels for the week). So...
If you grew up on the east coast and you’re trying to find a proper Jewish deli here in Chicago, this is the spot. I’ve had their bagels, their cold cuts, their Rachel Reuben, and a number of “accessories” including a jar of that good deli spicy mustard. If you grew up around Jewish deli’s you know how important this mustard is. The staff is always friendly and the prices are very fair. I recommend it to everyone.
Never disappointed with any food items especially the breakfast bagel sandwiches. Excellent customer service too. Pictured is a bacon, egg, and cheese on a poppyseed bagel.
First time here on Friday 4/29. What brings me here? My sick wife. Sick people eat soup. It's what you do. Note - Not many soup options in...
delicious corned beef. I asked for Pastrami, but they made me corned beef. Great matzo Ball chicken soup. The absolute worst potato pancake! Dark and tasted like bread.
Great service, great sandwiches, and very high quality ingredients. Reasonable prices too. Wish they weren’t playing loud tv in the dining room and just had music like in the main cafe, though.
The bagels at JB's are good but the rest of the food is worrisome. Even when it comes down to the cream cheese; I once asked them why there isn't an expo...
As quintessential as a neighborhood deli can be. Walk in and be greeted with the smell of cured meats, 1950’s music grooving, and friendly staff chatting. This place feels lived-in like only an established restaurant does. I got the Pastrami Reuben on rye which was fantastic. Their prepared foods look good and there is even a mini drug store if you need to pick something up. I will be going back.
Had the warm, corned beef sandwich on toasted rye and a potato pancake. Very tasty.
JB's Deli is a sandwich lovers dream! I was originally introduced to JB's via my husband a year ago but I never had the appetite to eat such a large...
Very good Jewish deli with oversized sandwiches. Staff is always very pleasant. Great for a to-go lunch but they have a cool and cozy seating area in the back. I need to give their breakfast a try next trip.
