Now open in Avondale, Honey Butter Fried Chicken is the first brick-and-mortar restaurant from Sunday Dinner Club chefs Christine Cikowski and Joshua Kulp. Inspired by their most popular Sunday Dinner Club menu, the focus is simple: fried chicken with honey butter, seasonal sides, and desserts, all made with local and sustainable ingredients.

Weekend brunch has been added to the menu in recent years. Chicken & grits topped with a fried egg; fried chicken with French toast topped with bourbon maple syrup and honey butter; and biscuits and gravy are some of the highlights.

There are also a host of cocktails for regular consumption. Choose from the signature bloody Mary, candied jalapeno margarita and ginger mule made with gin.

Went here last year and forgot to review the place. Thought I would do a follow up and just state how great of an experience I had here. The customer service was friendly and fast… And the food, oh boy the food was amazing!! If you’re as big of a fried chicken fan as I am you will not be disappointed checking out honey butter. I give this place 5⭐️ Jerry (the pigeon) gives it 5.5⭐️ He’s really happy to hear they cook chicken and not pigeon! 😃

This place is amazing! I absolutely adore their brunch menu. Upgrade your sandwich to the biscuit and you will not be disappointed. The chips are fantastic as is the Mac n cheese. Corn too! Happy to have discovered this place!

This restaurant is an amazing place. This was my first time in chicago and this place really made my night fun and fulfilling. The chicken was 10/10 easily, the atmosphere of the outdoor patio is beautiful and super welcoming. The people who work here are super nice and really good a being social and attentive. The only negative I would say is that there is no side with the chicken, I feel like it would just make sense to have a side such as fries or salad or chips. I just personally think fried chicken is better with some other item to accommodate. Also the hot sauce tasted like Tabasco sauce which wasn’t bad it just wasn’t anything new or unique. Furthermore, the honey butter that comes with the chicken was amazing and I can see why people love this place.
