Lovely old classic Victorian style bar, great bartenders and reasonably priced drinks! Fun atmosphere!
The City Tavern is mostly a dive bar. It used to have some class and some classy people, but now is more of a lower end, dive bar with a pool table,...

Best bartenders ever! Love Raquel & Chelsea!!! $3 loaded bloody marys & free pool on Sundays!!
This place has an awesome old style pub feel to it that was just a blast to be at. The only downside is since it has that old pub style feel they didn't do much to block out the acoustics which can be pretty loud when they are packed. That being said it's a pub! I'm only complaining on the noise as I'm getting old and cranky while their food is fantastic and their beer selection is good. The front area has a nice bar area with a larger seating area in the back for meals. Both sections can get noisy though it has felt louder at night over going for lunch. One thing my reviews usually stress is outdoor seating and areas which I love for the summer but this place has a feature I love for the winter - they have fireplace seating. (Good luck getting it on a busy night but if you do get it, pretty great background feel!) I haven't been here for the brunch so I'm not sure how their breakfast is. What I can tell you is that the mushroom flat bread, tavern burger, grilled cheese, hanger steak, and fish n chips are all great. Past that I have no idea but honestly with just those to choose from you can't go wrong! Great atmosphere, fun time, just might be a place to avoid at peak hours if you aren't a fan of the noise.
