Servers constantly show up at your table and ask if you’re done with your dish even if you still have food left. It really bothered me a lot, three different server came and asked if they could take a dish. View is just amazing and so special. People very friendly and professional but food definitely doesn’t worth it.

They claim to be an "elite" restaurant, but they are corrupt and provide horrible service. If you make a reservation, they will not honor it. Do not attempt to go here because they will not let you in, even if you have a reservation booked two weeks in advance. They need to be punished. I made a reservation two weeks in advance. They even took a non-refundable deposit for me to secure the reservation. I made elaborate plans specifically for this place including my guest searching for and buying a new dress for the occasion. I also paid extra for the additional services for the "romance experience". Less than 24 hours before my reservation, they called me and told me it's "closed to the public" and I'm not allowed to go. I asked "why are you telling me this now? I made the reservation two weeks ago. Where am I supposed to find another reservation on a Friday night with less than 24 hours notice? That's why I planned this two weeks in advance and orchestrated everything to revolve around this reservation." The person kept repeating that there is nothing she can do. I asked to speak to a manager and the person said no other workers will be there for two days, which is an obvious lie. The person said she would make a note about a refund. I asked to refund it now and she refused. This is not an "elite" restaurant like they claim. They are corrupt and do not honor their basic commitments. They will not change because they will not suffer consequences for violating their agreements. They are hypocrites. They keep your money if you cancel on them, but they do not have any penalties for canceling on you and ruining the one night you plan two weeks in advance.

I will be giving this location 2 stars only for the staff that was overworked on this night. We came for a birthday celebration and the view is exceptional but above from that, the service was not fully there. You had 1 server that was also the bartender. He seemed extremely overworked and was unable to attend to the tables. The chef would come out of the kitchen and go directly to the bar. It was so unfortunate and normally we don’t mind paying a big amount as long as the service is exceptional. I walked out of this restaurant disappointed. They need more staff and better management. It is so unfortunate but please chose a different place. They also charge for reservation and include a 20% Tip in your total. Hopefully they can work on these issues because this place can be exceptional. I will not be returning.

I went to Cité this Mother's Day 2022, we had 2pm brunch reservations. We had to pay in advance(the day we made the reservation maybe 5 days earlier) our total was around $455 for 3 adults and one kid. I figured we would get top of the line food for that amount of money and sadly we did not. It was a regular brunch buffet. Still I was not upset given that you pay for the views when you come here, however we were seated and no one came to greet us for a long time and I mean 30 minutes long. We had no idea if we could just go get food since it was buffet style so we just kind of sat there. Also we wanted drinks and no one came to ask us if we wanted anything. We had to go up to the waitress after the 30 min (3 plates of food in). I am positive we had beat the rush since there were only 3 other families in our section. So it’s not like they were so busy where we knew to be patient. Overall I am so disappointed that our experience was not a pleasant one, and more disappointed knowing we could have gone somewhere else for the amount of money we paid.

We came to celebrate Easter at Cite and partook in the Easter Brunch experience that was prepaid for via Open Table. It was $125/person for the brunch. The views from the restaurant were immaculate and the wait staff was very nice. The experience however was not the best. The communication between the wait staff and their knowledge or the prepaid meal was lacking. We asked one of our waiters if we were all set to go since we did not drink any alcoholic beverages and he checked and said we were. As we were walking out we got stopped by another waiter presenting us another receipt of $425+. I informed him that we had prepaid on Open Table and it included everything and he had no clue what I was talking about and had to call his manager. We were awkwardly waiting by the exit as he did this and the manager came up and said that drinks were not included in the brunch. So we ended up paying an additional $50 for 5 Coca-Colas and two waters on top of our $375 meal (three people). I am not only upset with the fact they charged us for tiny sodas but at the fact they made us feel so uncomfortable after we had been told that we were set to go. The decor in the restaurant is very tacky and out of date so the limited inside pictures are deceiving. The poles were wrapped in fabric and the chair covers were also old looking.

Other than the price, Cite was a fantastic experience! I made a reservation (which you can add special add-ons) and when we got there, they had exceeded our expectations! My husband and I were celebrating our 3rd wedding anniversary. They had our table by a window with roses, candle, and chocolate covered strawberries (which was an added price). During the time of the reservation I asked if we can sit by the window to watch the Navy Pier fireworks and they did! We had the best view! Service was excellent! Food was exceptional! It is pricey but definitely worth it for a special occasion. It is formal as well.

This place was amazing, this is a place you'd want to go for a special occasion. The view is amazing, I'd even say breathtaking. The customer service was extremely nice and funny :). The food was overall delicious and high quality as you pay for what you eat. The price is hefty but you won't regret it for those moments where you want to celebrate somewhere fancy :).
