You shouldn’t feel guilty about having a restaurant prepare Thanksgiving diner for you: aside from not having to cook or clean up, you also get more time with your guests/family and more time to just enjoy the holiday. Here are some of Chicago’s best restaurants, all making Thanksgiving dishes to remember…whether dining in or taking out.

 

River Roast (dine-in) goes traditional with an herb-brined turkey and sides done to perfection ($75/person)

The Bristol (take-out) serves up a 3-course Thanksgiving menu with seasonal dishes full of fall flavors ($225, serves 4).

 

Formento’s (take-out) lays out an Italian spread (surprise!) with roast duck, focaccia stuffing and pasta ($210, serves 4).

 

Hannah’s Bretzel (take-out/dine-in) is known for sandwiches, and during the holidays, it’s Thanksgiving 365 (turkey) and Christkindl sandwiches (ham), delicious. (prices vary by item).

Soul & Smoke (take-out) offers a Cajun-smoked turkey breast, as well as house-made pastrami and many, many other delectables (price varies by items).

 

Stan’s Donuts & Coffee (take-out), you won’t be surprised to hear, does a spectacular pumpkin pie, but also a Mini Pumpkin Old Fashioned catering tray (price varies by item).

 

The Dearborn (take-out) also focuses on pies with Crispy Phyllo Apple and Hazelnut Chocolate Cream ($28-$35).

 

Café Robey (take-out) sends you home with mains (like half a brined turkey) and many a la carte sides ($220, serves 4).
