Formento's - Chicago
Gone is the throwback southern Italian-focused menu in favor of modern, northern Italian fare at this cheery eatery in the heart of the West Loop neighborhood. Owned by the B. Hospitality team (Balena, The Bristol, Cold Storage, Swift & Sons), Formento's serves up a seasonal menu featuring handmade pastas, wood-fired meats and house-made pastries. One dish diners can always count on to be on the menu is Nonna's meatballs, which remains a top seller.
Located on the famed Randolph Street restaurant row, Formento's was wise enough to create a pre-game menu for those hitting up the United Center. The three- or four-course feast is served family style and includes popular dishes like brick chicken with roasted wild mushrooms and meatballs.
