Vinny's Clam Bar - Tinley Park
Vinny's Clam Bar goes for the vibe of an old-timey clam shack, only one with excellent seafood all around and a very good bar. Vinnie's Clam Bar is the place to go if you're fond of fish and seafood -- particularly crustaceans like clams, oysters, lobster and shrimp -- served in a casual atmosphere.
“We are thrilled to see Vinny’s Clam Bar come to life in the Chicago area,” says CEO and Founder Scott Harris. “Our team has been developing this unique restaurant for quite a while, and the initial reactions from our customers and our staff is amazing to see. When you join us at one of our 26 restaurants, you’re part of our family for the night. Come check us out in Tinley Park!”
Vinny's Clam Bar is the place to go when what you want to eat, more than anything else, is fantastic seafood, and you'll find a lot of that at Vinny's. Let's start with the eponymous clams: you can have these forever popular bivalves in chowder and linguini, done up as clams casino and clams vinho verde. Clams, of course, make an appearance on the raw platters, alongside oysters, lobster, shrimp and Sicilian seafood salad. There’s also some inviting fish, like branzino -- one of the most popular fish on contemporary menus -- and even humble fish and chips. If you're in the mood for pasta, there's Dana’s Bolognese with spaghetti and Linguini Tutto Mare with mountains of perfectly prepared noodles and shrimp, scallops, clams, and other gifts of the sea.
There are also some Italian classics, like grilled pizzas, red or white, fried calamari and tomato bread.
To pair with all this deliciousness, there's a very good wine list, with very reasonable prices.
Desserts are sometimes an afterthought...but not at Vinny's. We recommend the Limoncello tiramisu (with lemon curd and mascarpone custard) and/or cannoli cake for the table.
