The Palm Restaurant - Mc Lean
The legendary New York steakhouse has been around since 1926, when founders Pio Bozzi and John Ganzi wanted to create something to pay homage to their hometown of Parma, Italy. When customers requested steaks, they had to run to a nearby butcher's shop to keep their customers happy.
The Palm is still family owned, with multiple locations across the country--and globe--including this outpost in McLean, Vir. The location observes PrimeTime happy hour every Sunday through Friday.
Diners get half off on bar bites, which include a classic cheeseburger, cornmeal-fried oysters, calamari and oysters on the half shell. Also available at the bar--but not for half price--is Ahi sashimi tuna, grilled short rib and a seven-ounce ancho-chili-espresso-rubbed filet mignon.
