We were visiting Chicago for the first time and were staying at a hotel just across the street from Rock Bottom Tavern, so we decided to pick up an order and bring it back to our room for the evening. My husband walked to pick up the order and when he returned, we realized there was a part of our order missing. This wasn’t a huge inconvenience for us, so I just called to say he’d return to pickup the missing item. They were very apologetic on the phone and my husband walked over to pick it up. He said they were so kind and apologetic, and went above and beyond to make the experience right. Incredibly friendly staff, and the food was just what we were looking for after a long day! The carrot cake was delicious!
Beer was great. But ever feel like you're on an episode of bar rescue? No? Well, show up to this spot and you'll hope to god that Jon Taffer walks in and...
Stopped in on a Thursday evening for dinner and beer. The place was very full so we sat at the bar because we didn't want to wait. The bartender was helpful...
For Chicago, prices are relatively reasonable. The ribeye was $31. I subbed garlicky mashed potatoes for the fries. They have Mac n cheese but it was a little dry and not too cheesy. If you like creamy cheesy Mac n cheese you might want to skip theirs. Food was very good otherwise. Order your steak slightly less done than you normally do because they did overcook them slightly. Still really tasty though. This place is literally up the steps from the red line train. Reservations can be made but we got in without one in about 20 minutes around 7:30 p.m. I would definitely visit this place again.
Visited Rock Bottom a few weeks ago for the Polar Beer Brewfest and had an absolute blast. They had a great selection of different beers and different...
They’ve recently revamped the menu and I like it a lot. Their chicken fingers and fries are better. They are getting more non beer options, like ciders and seltzers. This is one of my favorite breweries in the area.
Absolutely fantastic service. Super nice staff. The food was good too. Affordable and close to the mag mile.
I've never ever left a 1 star review before. We were hyped to try this place out. While other guests stood around and mingled without a mask we were informed that because 1 guest in our party didn't have a mask we would need to leave. They didn't have any masks. No big deal. We walked a few blocks to obtain a mask. When we returned we were told it had gone from a 0 minute wait to a 30 minute wait. No big deal....but the rules had changed, and now we needed to wait outside in the cold. Hard pass. Weber Grill across the street is amazing so far!
