This place gave my sister and I a wonderful time for our birthday celebration! It is beautifully designed. The waiter was charming, as well as the owner. Warm and friendly. The food was extraordinarily good. The best Vietnamese cuisine we have ever had. Dessert was simply delicious as well. Will visit this place every time I am in Chicago.
Avoid this place on February 14th. Last year we came here and luckily was served fast. However, the restaurant had confusion with their own menu. Apparently they had two different menus with different prices in it. On another note, a few tables were waiting for their food for quite a while and left after without ordering anything. Here we go in 2023, thinking that they probably learned their mistakes. People were leaving after waiting to be served... Not one table, 3-4 tables. We have been waiting for our food for 2 hours. My husband decided that since we had our first time date here, we should wait and enjoy ourselves. Recommendation to the place: you know your traffic on Valentine's day just hire extra people. To the management: don't give false promises that the food is coming. Be honest that you don't have the capacity to cook and serve. Sad that such a nice place cannot figure it out.
We were excited to try this place and had our food delivered. Way too expensive for barely any food, no flavor & greasy. Extremely disappointed and won't be ordering again.
Outdoor and indoor spaces are very nice. The food was decent, but nothing memorable. Poor service. Our food took hours for our party of 7. The wine was constantly brought out (without being prompted, keep that tab growing!) but no food or explanation. The waitress initially refused to let us speak to a manager, and was downright defiant that the manager was busy (sitting at a table chatting). The manager brought out food tickets to try to prove we were wrong. Our food wasn’t rung in and we were ignored. How hard is it to just say that? I’ve never experienced a level of service like this. Was told by management to come in and “ask for her next time” and she would take care of us. I won’t be returning.
Food is great, they have a garden area in the back that creates a great atmosphere. Staff do a great job.
