Orchard Street Chop Shop - Dover
What's extra cool about Orchard Street Chop Shop is that it occupies one of Dover's most historic buildings that's been around since 1865. It's settled inside the original Dover Firehouse--which once used horse-drawn fire trucks--offering locals an authentic steakhouse experience.
The first level is reserved for fine dining, while upstairs is Top of the Chop, a casual dining area with a revamped 26-seat bar featuring a large selections of single-barrel bourbons, single-malt scotches and signature cocktails. Guests may choose to order from the dinner menu or a "rustic menu" with lighter dishes.
Some of the dinner menu's highlights include a "three-day" smoked pork quesadilla, which is drizzled in a Santa Fe-inspired red bean and mango salsa; Tuscan-braised beef short rib; and New Zealand rack of lamb in an herb crust.
And for those who come for the steak offerings, order one of the many prime steaks. There are also a limited number of steaks that are dry-aged on premises. One of the biggest hits is the 35-day dry-aged cowboy ribeye.
