Omakase Yume

Omakase Yume - Chicago

Having earned a Michelin star in 2021, Omakase Yume has solidified its place as one of the best-known and finest spots in Chicago for Japanese cuisine.

Chef Sangtee Park continues to amaze his guests with the most incredibly fresh and undeniably imaginative presentations of sushi and other seafood creations.

With a sixteen-course tasting menu, Chef Park offers customer a tour de force of his culinary inventiveness within the context of Japanese and Korean foodways. Although Japanese traditions guide the menu, Park sprinkles Korean surprises throughout.

As Phil Vettel wrote in the Chicago Tribune, "One might expect an omakase to start slowly, with simple tastes teasing of the complexity to come; indeed, that’s how it has worked with the handful of omakase meals I’ve had. Park, however, has different ideas — shattering the model with an opening appetizer of octopus, monkfish liver and pickled vegetables; the octopus, slightly chewy, plays nicely against the liver’s mousse-y texture. It’s an opening course that tells the guests: Buckle in."

Menus can be customized to individual tastes,

Currrently, Omakase Yume is BYOB, which gives diners a chance to bring their favorite beverage to dinner (and not incidentally, it gives diners the chance to have a high value dining experience for a reasonable price).
