4.5 stars. Overall this is a nice place with really good food, although it's on the pricier side. Solid date spot, but nothing extraordinarily special. The restaurant: We got a Saturday evening reservation for 2 quite easily. It's in Bridgeport, which isn't the fanciest neighborhood in Chicago. The restaurant looks unassuming and nice, but it's not particularly fancy. It would make a good regular date night spot, but nothing too special. The food: Amazing! We got the squash soup to start. It was thick, creamy, and mouth-watering. I was debating between the chilean sea bass and beef tenderloin medallion. I got the latter at our server's recommendation, even though beef is probably my least favorite meat. It turned out tender and perfectly cooked to order. The gravy went well with the beef, mashed potatoes, mushrooms, and veggies. I would definitely get it again! My boyfriend got the chile poblano, which he thought was delicious but a tad too spicy. I sampled it and didn't think it was very spicy, but I can imagine it getting overwhelming after more bites. For dessert, we got the red wine ice cream. It wasn't what we expected - the wine flavor was very subtle and it ended up tasting like regular ol' ice cream.
