The food is generally pretty fabulous here and they have a great assortment of beers. Unfortunately, the wait staff is pretty lackluster. The food often takes along time to arrive and tonight the waitress seemed super bored at best. It took an exceedingly long time to get a soft drink--we had to ask for it a second time when the food was finally dropped off and even then,we were asking the food runner who was much friendlier than our waitress, who never even bothered to pretend she was sorry about the oversight. In short, I'm not sure that I'll be able to go back, despite its convenient location and better than average food. A tremendous disappointment.

Old Oak Tap has the best black bean burger in the city! I am not even a vegetarian, but I order this over their (also delicious) beef burger every time. Their food menu has a good variety of sandwiches, salads, and entrees, and the prices are reasonable. If you don't like black bean burgers, try the Ancho Turkey Salad or the BLT (complete with fried green tomatoes). In the summertime, they have a big patio that is perfect for afternoon drinking.

Old Oak Tap is far enough west to avoid the crowds but still get a good bite to eat. The restaurant is recessed off the street with a decently sized outdoor patio in front which is always full during summer. There's a wide variety of craft beers and the filet sandwich melts in your mouth!

Great brunch spot! This place is unique because of their outdoor patio in the front and center, but inside they have a cozy space as well. Wonderful beers on tap, as well as food that is restaurant (not bar) worthy. The benedict is tasty, as well as the fried pickles. Only beef? They close the kitchen down for a few hours in the afternoon. This does not bode well for late (hungover) risers.

I thought the tortilla soup was the second best soup I have ever had. I samples of most of the people at my table and had such a good time, and the music selection was exactly what I would be listening at home, except I wish they had more PHISH. The chairs were so comfortable.
