Classic Chicago. If you love dogs and beef like I do, you'll love it here. A bit expensive, but it's a staple of the area and it's not cheap operating a business these days. Especially in Wilmette. Go and enjoy.

Absolutely great food, got the 1/2 lb cheese burger top 5 burger for me. Cheese with fries is a nice touch! Good people.

Andy Greenspan and his dad started this great joint probably 50 or so years ago after I'd been out of New Trier, moved to Colorado, and came back craving a real Chicago hotdog & cheese fries in the 70's. All I can tell you is that this is simply one of the all-time greatest stands ever if you love our local sandwich & grill delicacies. The menu has gotten much bigger, but the same love goes into the prep and quality of their food as each bag or basket is still made by hand, to order - and mostly by the same guys that have been behind that counter for decades. Says a TON about the owner, doesn't it? Go! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Excellent food, great workers, great management. I’ve been coming here for the past 20+ years since I was 8 years old. When I came by the restaurant today I was greeted by the same friendly workers and thanked by the owner Andy on my way out. Love the American spirit at this family owned restaurant. Get the jumbo beef hotdog with everything and cheddar fries.

As a longtime customer, I’m not happy to write this review but I’m hoping it will be a catalyst for change. The skin on the hot dogs is so tough that the insides come out as you are unsuccessfully trying to bite through it. Makes the dog inedible. This has happened on my last two visits. I tried a carry out beef sandwich and the small amount of beef on it was a joke. I used to love this place and I still love the counter guys but, hey, you gotta do better on the food. Making a good dog isn’t that difficult.

Great Chicago style hotdog stand that serves merkts cheddar my favorite. Owner is always behind the counter he works fast and efficiently. This place is old school and will even hook up condiments! Great seasoned cris cut fries, hot dogs, Italian beef, gyros, and beyond. Worth going and coming back.

We stopped in for a quick bite, we got a bacon cheeseburger and a jumbo hotdog with cheese and regular fires. Both got lemonade that seem as thought it was not made fresh and stale taste. The cheese fires were better without the cheese; it wasn’t regular melting cheese, more so as though its cheese from the cheese burger. The jumbo hotdog was made as a Chicago style hotdog, and was good but wouldn’t make to trip for it again. The last thing we got was a m&m cookie, that was sweet.

I remember coming here when I was working building fences and decks out of Glenview. Food was great. I had a cup that said .50 refills when you bring in this cup. I moved to Indiana, was never up in area and lost cup many years later. I couldn't remember what street or town but I knew it was off Eden's. Glad I scanned Google maps. Now I can bring my wife and kids here.

Oh come on if you haven't been here for the char cheddar burger you haven't lived. I know dramatic but I love this place been going here for decades? Also the criss cut fries with the cheddar is great. They use the good Wisconsin cheddar like Wiener circle. Gained a few pounds thinking about it.

Excellent American fare. Personable guys behind the counter cooking your food. Our kids loved the cheese fries in their teen years. My favorite is their Italian beef sandwich with mozzarella cheese.

For a treat that can not be beat, enjoy the special "grilled jumbo dog with cheddar and bacon". Get it the way tge owner, Andy, recommends - mustard, grilled onions and dill pickles. (Oh, yeah, I add saurkraut.) This is what I reward myself with when I have worked too hard! Rejuvenates me every time!
