Himalayan Kitchen in Chicago is an Indian restaurant that has been operating for the past 5 years. On our visit to the restaurant on 23rd Dec, we were disappointed to find that the dining area was closed due to the winter storm. However, we decided to place an order for takeout and tried the vegetable Biryani and Momo's. Unfortunately, we were not impressed with the taste of these dishes. The lady who runs the restaurant is from Delhi, but we feel that the restaurant could work on improving the taste of their dishes. Despite the disappointment with the food, we were able to find paid parking easily.

I have lots of allergies, so it’s very seldom I try new things. They went above and beyond to make sure I could safely eat here. The food is delicious! Will absolutely come here again when I’m the area.

I'm always more critical of Indian restaurants being of Indian descent but the food was great! The seating wasn't ideal but I would definitely order out one of their meals! The chicken meal is very reasonably priced and delicious. My only qualm was their inflexibility to substitute regular naan for garlic naan, without any thought. Service could be better but seems like it'd be a great takeout place.
