FIG & OLIVE - Chicago
Mediterranean-focused restaurant with an emphasis on olive oil and seasonal cookery. The New York-based restaurant has locations throughout the city, California, and now Chicago.

We had a fantastic lunch at a beautiful restaurant right off of Rush Street in the Gold Coast area. We wanted to try something a little different than a...
Overall service was lacking. We felt forgotten, they did not refill our water or let us know when the kitchen was closing so we were unable to have dessert. The waiter was condescending and dismissive. The steak was overpriced, tough, and flavorless. The pasta sauce was uncooked with dry pieces of tuna. The cocktails were nice hence the two stars. I'd skip this place and go somewhere that is worth the price tag.
Came here for a brunch on a Saturday and while my group of three didn't get a table (since we didn't have a reservation), I really enjoyed sitting and...
The ambiance is superb!! The food was great. Our 2nd day wasn't as great (ordered the salmon again) but the staff did apologize and offered another selection. Overall, will return for summer brunches 😍😍
Well we were here for our birthday brunch. The place is beautiful and food was good. There coincidently was another event that the restaurant was catering to. The restaurant was packed with almost every table taken. They very clearly prioritized the event than their actual guests. We were left sitting with no food for over an hour. All the guests. It’s not like we were eating for free, it’s a pricey place. And their other event honestly isn’t my concern, they should have planned better . When we asked for an update we were clearly told, once the guests at the event are served we will get our food. Way to make us feel inferior and worthless. Then we were told our food will be discounted, which it wasn’t. But at that time I was so over the whole thing I just wanted to leave. I’ll never recommend Anyone to come to a place where guests are not valued
The place is absolutely beautiful and in a great area, we showed up for our reservation about 5 minutes early and were seated immediately. After getting...
The place is beautiful and full of light! I was very impressed when I first walked in. However, the service was rather slow - our sever got overwhelmed and was avoiding eye contact. The kitchen was very slow too - we waited quite a while to get out food, even though we had ordered everything as soon as the server took our order. Luckily, we were not in a rush, but 2.5 hrs for a brunch is quite the waste of time. Not to mention that this place is pricey, they should try to provide a better service overall!. I am not sure I would be coming back here.
What a gorgeous restaurant. Great service. Tasty cocktails. The food was straight awful, however. My risotto was the “chef’s favorite” on the menu and it tasted like salt. No other flavor but salt. The “shareable” app was delicious but was actually a bite for each of the three of us. Uninspired wine list. I was truly disappointed by my first dinner in Chicago. Looking forward to much better experience tomorrow.
You'll not be disappointed when you dine at Fig & Olive. Drinks are wonderful and the food is simply amazing. What did it for me was the amazing staff. Go see Chandler, our fantastic waiter, just say Molly sent you!!!! Thank you to Alexa for having an amazing staff that makes us keep coming back.
With so many amazing non-chain restaurants in Chicago, I rarely go to restaurants that have multiple locations in other states. Even though Fig and Olive...
