The cool, neighborhood-styled gastropub occupying the first level of Maple & Ash steakhouse is one of the Gold Coast's favorites. Eight Bar offers an abbreviated menu of what you'll find upstairs, with some of the highlights being classic steak frites, slow-roasted salmon and wild Burgundy escargot.
But the true highlight here is the energy, which is at its peek after work and once diners from Maple & Ash head down for a nightcap or two. The music ranges from classic hip-hop to neo-soul and a few rare grooves tossed in for good measure. It's an ideal place to be as you decide on where to go next in the area.
Additional menu crowd pleasers include the late-night pozole chicken ramen, lamb chop lollipops, meatball sliders and salmon tartare. There are also Eight Bar's spin on classic cocktails, wines by the glass and craft beers.
