Durty Nellie's

Stopped in to see a local 90’s cover band and decided to try the food and I was super impressed! We had the Nellie’s Chicken and the Potato Tacos! Both were good enough to go back.. The Potato Tacos are vegetarian and you would never know, but be careful it’s a tad on the spicy side. Also, the local craft beer selection has something for everyone!! The only reason I dropped a star is the service was a bit slow, but the waitress seemed new so I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt!

I'm posting this review for a food review and not a nightclub review. This is my second time dining here in the past month. Food is really really good here....

Thank you to Durty Nellies for putting together a great private event for us so quickly. Jimmy, Josh and Jamie were so accommodating and helpful. Our event was a celebration of life and we couldn’t have been happier to work with such great people at a great event. Food was so good and the experience was seamless during our time of sadness. Very fitting location to celebrate our Irish father’s life. Thank you all!!

Nellie's is celebrating 50 years in business and I'm glad they made it! It's a really versatile place. Lunch, dinner, concerts, events, neighborhood bar. We went to see a concert and had a great time. I've always been impressed with the music venue. Nice floor size and an expansive balcony - really nothing comparable in the northwest suburbs.

Horrible service! If you are looking for decent service at this place don’t hold your breath! Met up for beer fest with some friends. The place was not packed by any means. I was hungry and just wanted to get some wings and cheese curds. Tried to order at the back bar, but it took 10 minutes for the bartender to even look my way. When she finally came by me, I told her I’d like to order food when she gets a chance. She went of to pour shots and ended up at the opposite end of the bar for another 10 minutes! I decided to leave the back bar and go up to the front by the restaurant area to order food. I sat down and some random guy brought me a menu. A server finally walked by after 5 minutes and told me she’ll be right with me. After 10 minutes she’s not back yet. I see her seating people down and handing them menus. NOT impressed with this place!!! There is a reason why I only a block away from Nellie’s and I don’t usually come here! It’s a shame because they actually have pretty decent burgers!

Actually came here to perform at a performance, once with my rock band and once with my jazz band. Great place with a great vibe that's super friendly and communicative with bands. Would recommend.

Great craft beer selection with much better than normal bar food. Staff friendly and attentive. Update: Post-fire they are not the same. The kitchen has become ultra-slow to the point where we can't dine there even though we had been there 30+ times prior. Update: Post-pandemic their beer selection is so-so.
