BevArt Brewer & Winemaker Supply | Wild Blossom Meadery & Winery - Chicago

BevArt carries a full line of wine and beer supplies, including liquid yeasts, wine juice and kits. They teach beer and wine making classes weekly, and host private parties at which you can make your own wine or beer.

BevArt is also home to Wild Blossom Meadery & Winery, the only meadery on the Northern Illinois Wine Trail, which makes traditional and contemporary styles of wines from honey produced by bees from the prairies of Illinois, the sand dunes of Lake Michigan and the city of Chicago.

I had such a wonderful, unique experience at Wild Blossom. The indoor and outdoor seating areas are cozy and all around very picturesque! The staff was wonderful and they were so enthusiastic about answering all of my questions regarding mead and honeybees. The flavors on their menu are very interesting (notice the PB&J mead?!) and they offer flights and bottles of their products. I definitely recommend this place and I am excited to come back!

A hidden jewel for sure!!! The ambiance is perfect. Chill. Relaxed. Friendly. LaVon was extremely pleasant on the phone and did not disappoint in person. The wine tasting was amazing... Please try the PB&J wine. You can bring your own food, but if you forget...the cheese and cracker tray is bomb. There is plenty of parking, there's a Metra stop on the corner and a nice spacious outdoor area. It's great for a date, maybe a girls night out or hosting an event. I highly recommend!!! ❤️

Unfortunately I'm unable to provide a great review. To summarize - I'd called and spoke with a gentleman at Wild Blossom and mentioned I wanted to make reservations for a party of 8 on Sunday, July 31 at 1:30pm. He said no problem and that they were closing for a private event at 3pm that day so anytime before that was good. He'd asked for my email to send the link to make the reservation and said I need to put down a deposit of $20 per person when completing the reservation. I made the reservation once he sent me the link, paid the deposit and was confirmed. Fast forward to the day of my reservation, I got to the location with my party and was told they did not have my reservation on file and there was a private event there from 1pm - 5pm. I showed the hostess my reservation proof and she still said she didn't see it and couldn't do anything because the owner wasn't there. I booked limo service for a day to visit a few wineries in Chicago and surrounding areas for a group of friends. The owner of the limo service hired a videographer to follow us to these wineries for promotional purposes so for this to happen was not a good look. It feels as if my reservation was bumped because there was an opportunity to make more money. Amazingly, as we were heading to our next winery, I received a cancellation notification for the reservation (remember the hostess didn't see it) and my refund. This was very inconsiderate and I'm not interested in returning.

What a fun afternoon in a beautiful setting! Service was excellent despite the crowds enjoying mead both inside and out, in the gorgeous garden space. We tried different flights of mead and just loved it! I can't wait to return and try more mead!

This was a phenomenal experience. The atmosphere, the layout and the Meade and wine selections were perfect. The staff was knowledgeable and so friendly. Ericka, our server was exceptional. We will definitely be returning! Perfect place for girls night or date night!

I texted two weeks ago asking if they'd be open on July 3rd. They responded by saying they had updated their reservation calendar. When I checked the site, it said they were open July 3rd. The day of July 3rd I went and google said they were open. I showed up at 2PM and they were, in fact, closed. There's a sign outside that says "OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK". Google maps listed them as open. I drove an hour from North Chicago to get down here and was really excited to go.

What a wonderful time we had here. It was glorious, the mead was strong and flavorful, and the cheese platter just marvelous. Nature all around and I had a cigar to complete the afternoon. Absolutely joyful. Service was friendly and prompt.

This place is absolutely beautiful! The decor is very stylish. They have excellent drinks that I have not had anywhere else. They really take time and care about what they produce. The staff are very knowledgeable and attentive. We had one of the nicest cheese plates we've ever had at any winery. The flights are great as you can choose anything you'd like for your palate. We hope to get a chance to return soon!

This was my third time coming here; I brought my mom and brother this time, and they just LOVED IT! The service, the wine, the cheese plate, and the ambiance… perfect! I would say the only negative (this visit) was that there was a private party planned and it would have been great for us to know that before we came (maybe post these things on your website in advance). So, we didn’t get much time at all to enjoy it all, but the time we did get was Fabulous! CALL them in advance to ensure they have no private parties planned. Otherwise, go and do a flight if you can so you can try the many flavors of wine/mead, so so wonderful ❤️💜

After trying to find somewhere to go for a date night I stumbled across this place. EVERYTHING is so good!!! Holly was very attentive as well. Can't wait to come back. They also let you bring food with you.
