The sound of Beatnik echoes the space, with elements arriving from all corners of the globe. Reggae, Afrobeat, and Middle Eastern Classic Rock weave easily with Brazilian Soul and 60s French Pop. From Kingston to Kinshasa, Rio to the Riviera, Beatnik's music is a journey of discovery and the exotic.

I loved this place! It's a great vibe for an intimate night or a group night! The quality of service was kinda rough on this Tuesday night. Maybe avoid Tuesdays? But please don't pass up on the delicious veggie dishes this establishment will serve you. A must try if you are visiting Chicago! Just not on Tuesday nights?

Unique and interesting place. The decor was kitschy, like a mix of Arabian nights fantasy with a set of Great Expectations (just missing the cobwebs!) Music was too loud to hear the next person. Food was tasty, good to share, good vegetarian options. A bit pricey for what they offer. Try the wild mushrooms and chicken kebabs. They were flavorful. Miguel our server was good, slightly rushed or just couldn't hear over the music. Overall an experience. Don't know if I will make it a regular spot.

Overpriced food. Ambiance and decor is cool even though the plants get in your way when walking. Music is too loud during brunch time. Could barely hear my date talk. Ordered a side of fries for $12 and literally got like 10 fries. I don't mind the price but the amount was laughable. Another review before mine mentioned the same thing. Got the chicken and waffles and waffles were very tiny with not much flavor. Chicken was okay and nothing special. Cocktail I ordered was good. Would not come back to this place. The service was fast and good and I had no complaints regarding that.
