Ara-On is a beautiful restaurant specializing in French-Asian cuisine. We combine the Fine Dining experience

with a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. You will find us nestled in between the JW Marriot & W Hotels,

located in the Chicago Loopjust steps awayfrom the Financial District.

Executive Chef Jimmy Kim and his team practice unique preparation and presentation styles of an innovative

interpretation on Pan-Asian standards. Woven throughout the menu you will also find other global influences. Our

Menu is also the perfect companion to the array of fresh selections offered from the sushi bar that is carefully

selected by Jimmy Kim.

Really great steak salad. Very busy at noon. Come a half hour prior and you still find seating. Will return soon to try the rest of the menu

Crazy good spot for a sushi lunch. So much good sushi and sashimi here, and entrees to satisfy any additional hankering you have. I had a tuna and avocado salad, amazing. A friend ordered the "best risotto I've ever had!" Risotto at a sushi restaurant, go figure. But all of it great, in a restaurant full of intriguing original art not to mention other eager diners, so get a reservation for sure.

Food is great and it's a nice sushi place in the loop if you don't feel like trekking all the way out to River North or something. It's clean and spacious, but I don't care for the leather sofa or in the walkway, it's kind of gross looking. Luckily the wall art is intricately pleasing. The hosts and servers were attentive and kind, but the other staff didn't seem happy to be there. Definitely coming back for great nigiri but service and aesthetic could use consideration.

Really great experience. Went here randomly after reading yelp reviews. The did was absolutely amazing. Service could have been a bit more on it but otgerwise, worth it. Ordered the the Ara on chef special, Araon tower, and they gave us a complimentary sampler that was really delicious.

Very impressed by this restaurant. Great decor, great, friendly staff and great food. Very convenient to both the W hotel and JW Marriott in downtown Chicago. I found this to be one of the better restaurants I have been to in Chicago, I could go on and on, I definitely recommend this place
