Victory Gardens Biograph Theater - Chicago

Founded in 1974, Victory Gardens Theater is dedicated to producing world premiere plays. One of the country's most respected mid-sized professional theater companies,the theater received the 2001 Tony Award for Best Regional Theater.

In 2004, it purchased and renovated the former Biograph movie house into a $9 million, state-of-the-art facility for live theater and began producing its mainstage productions there. A National Historic Landmark, the Biograph was designed by architect Samuel N. Crowen in 1914. FBI agents shot and killed "Public Enemy No. 1" John Dillinger there after a screening of "Manhattan Melodrama" in 1934.

Parking for Victory Gardens patrons is available at Children's Memorial Hospital, 2316 N. Lincoln, 1/2-block south of Fullerton.
