It's like one of those movies that's so bad it's good.

I was here on a Friday night with a large group of friends (~15 people). The bar is cute and had some great drink specials going. Not sure if it was an off-night for the bartender and manager, but we will definitely not be back. The bartender was not asking for names for people ordering on tabs and our bill ended up having $40 worth of drinks on it that we did not order. It was a poor mistake on the bartenders part, but it happens. What astounded me most was the manager’s “too bad, so sad” attitude when I questioned the charges. The manager insisted that I was mistaken and the bartender was absolutely requiring first and last names from anyone being charged to a tab, despite my assurances that I was not asked for a name for the few drinks on my bill that I actually did order, and I was basically told “oh well, you’ve already been charged. Goodbye”. $40 wont break my bank and I’m confident that my credit card will refund the charges when I dispute them, but the carelessness of the bartender and the aggressively unapologetic attitude of the manager leave little question as to why our group were the only people in the bar for a large portion of a Friday night.

I like this place. Had no clue what is was about til I walked in but glad I did. Good reggae sets. After 5 requests I thought the DJ would have cut me off. Nope. What a nice guy! Bar girl at the back was super nice. Strong drinks! No cover, nice doorman. Now it was a little uncrowded for a Sat but I'd rather have that than overcrowded where you can't move and wait 20min to get a drink. It's kinda a milder version of Heroes in Dallas. I started my night outside over at The Underground but refused to pay the $100 to get past the doorman at 11:30pm. Same thing outside Tao! So I walked up to Division 15min and found Coconutz. Also If you don't like it don't worry, there are lots of other places to the left and right on. Cheers!
