The 12 Drinks of Christmas

 

 

Peninsula Chicago caters to the exceptionally well heeled this holiday season with a cocktail certain to break the bank. Jeweler Marshall Pierce & Co. teams up with the luxury hotel for an $8,500 elixir that arrives with a sparkly little treat. The sparkling cocktail is made with Krug Champagne and served with a sapphire ring ($850) or a three-carat sapphire ring ($8,500). All proceeds benefit the 100 Club of Chicago.

 

While the Peninsula’s cocktail may not be in your budget, we’ve gathered quite a few celebratory sippers that should. Twelve, in fact. From new twists on the classic eggnog to a traditional Mexican hot punch by way of Pilsen, here’s what you should be drinking. And we’ve even acquired the recipes for those adventurous enough to make them at home.
