For Mother’s Day (May 8th, but you remember that, right?), you can’t go wrong by taking the great lady to one of Chicago’s best restaurants for brunch.

Here are some of Chicago’s best restaurants, every one guaranteed to make mom incredibly happy on Mother's Day.

Acanto on Michigan Avenue is the perfect place to take your mother to brunch; the beautifully prepared Italian dishes are going to make her smile.

Le Colonial serves a different kind of brunch, Southeast Asian with French influences, in a lovely dining room that mom is sure to enjoy.

Ann Sather is ideal for a filling meal of Scandinavian-influenced specialties, as well as eggs Benedict and a range of incredible omelets.

Avli Taverna offers brunch every Saturday and Sunday from 10am until 2:30pm, with Greek favorites like saganaki and some outstanding lamb dishes.

Badou Senegalese Cuisine might lend a touch of adventure to your usual Mother’s Day festivities…and they open at noon every Sunday.

Bar Siena in the uber hip Fulton Market area will give mom an elegantly casual dining experience…and it’s a cool place to visit.

PB&J might just tickle your mom with its young and hip vibe, but there are also some particularly good lunch and brunch options (we like the smoked BBQ chicken sandwich).

Antique Taco may seem a little too casual for mom, but if she digs the food of Mexico – done right! – then Antique Taco is the place to go for brunch.

Atwood has a very pleasant dining room, and your Mother’s Day brunch can start as early as 8am on Sunday.

Angelina Ristorante has an excellent brunch menu, with mom-pleasing favorites including a gorgeous frittata and, of course, eggs Benedict.
