Yassa African Restaurant - Chicago
Owned and operated by Madieye and Awa Gueye, a husband-and-wife team originally from the Wolof Tribe of Senegal, Yassa African Restaurant is on Chicago's South Side.
Get ready for generous portions of authentic fare native to their homeland in a setting that feels like home. All entrees come with a side dish, which includes plaintains, jollof rice, and steamed carrots and cabbage.
Highlights of the dinner menu ranges from dibi chicken (10 pieces of chopped chicken marinated in a mustard sauce and grilled) to whole grilled fish of tilapia or red snapper. There is also a nice selection of stews made with curry chicken, lamb or seafood.
