Trivoli Tavern serves excellent seafood and steak...and some of the finest cocktails in Chicago. When you walk into the place, you will immediately feel yourself cool down with the low light, mellow vibe, and excellent edibles and imbibables.

In some of the most comfortable, laid-back yet elegant surroundings you will find in any tavern, Trivoli Tavern offers food that is mostly all about the comfort.

You can come to Trivoli Tavern for the drinks -- and that is an excellent reason to visit -- but once there you will find yourself attracted to many of the edible options.

Pigs in a Blanket and Slow-Roasted Meatballs are two of the downhome, easy-going starters on the menu, and if you're just coming in for something to drink with, you may want to get both to nibble one of these while you tipple.

For pescatarians, there's the Whole Branzino (fantastic!) and the Cedar Planked Ora Salmon (you will fall in love with it).

Spaghetti Bolognese is the traditional red sauce Italian dish that is most likely to please all tastes, except for maybe the vegetarians in the group, and for them there's simply delicious options like the Baby Artichoke Gratin (adding cheese is an excellent way to make vegetables more wine-friendly) or the Truffle Bucatini with pecorino, a fancy-pants version of an Italian favorite.

For those who like a little (or a lot!) of meat with their drinks, there's an Italian steakhouse selection of beautiful beef. The Steak Frites is classic, with fries done to crisp perfection; we like the sixteen-ounce Classic Ribeye. For even hearty appetites, Trivoli Tavern offers their Famous Prime Rib, thin-sliced with horseradish sauce.

In addition to classic mixed drinks, Trivoli Tavern offers a big selection of beers served in frosty mugs and many, many wines by the glass.
