You can't get any closer to McCormick Place if you're here for a convention or conference and a 2 or 3 minute walk to the Wintrust Arena.
Having stayed 9 nights, there is shortage of breakfast dining in the walkable area. (I recommend Chicago Waffles or Spoke and Bird. They're several blocks but on a nice May morning the walk was a good way to start the day.
The staff were very friendly and my room was what you'd expect. It was just a standard king bed room with a comfortable bed and amenities. Enough sink space for me but if my wife had come with me it would have been crowded.
One weird choice: despite there being a lot of space in the room, they put a cabinet with the safe and coffee maker in the closet(??) It cuts the closet space in half. I was here 10 days by myself and I could hang up my suits, but everything else was in the 3 drawers or left in the suitcase. For a short stay I probably wouldn't have cared.
I'm weird about my shower water pressure and most hotels disappoint, but I had no complaints about theirs. Plenty of pressure for a good wake-up shower.
