Visited on memorial day weekend (Sunday.) It was wonderful. The Nick Cave exhibit is out of this world. Run to see it. I also enjoyed the Bani Abidi exhibition a lot. (Check out the short film she made about a guy trying to break the record for cracking walnuts with his head. Very funny.) And several of the works in the Based on a True Story exhibition were also fascinating. People run to the Chicago Art Institute, and for good reason, but I recommend visiting this museum, as well. It is wonderfully arranged, and there is always something interesting, and new, to learn.

The Museum Of Contemporary Art is a great museum! There is lots of interesting art to see there. I could spend hours looking at the wide selection that they have. My personal favorite is the Babylonian wall made out of trash. It’s certainly a sight to see. The tickets for the museum were very reasonable, compared to larger museums in the Chicago area.

Nick Cave is amazing!!!! I so recommend seeing this exhibit. I loved the Sound Suits. The one with the ships was so powerful. And the really fun part was coming in and seeing all of the hanging items....so many images and colors. The whole exhibit was beautifully amazing. Well worth the trip in from Michigan.

Nothing like visiting a museum on a rainy day. The museum of contemporary art has a vibe. Nothing like walking around at your own pace learning about art. The place is spacious and very easy to navigate. If you like art and are looking for something different check them out.

I like art and museums but often feel dumb or like i need a guide to really understand and enjoy them. I really appreciate the effort this museum puts into providing attendees with information, easily accessible on the walls next to exhibits. It made me enjoy the visit and really dig into each piece.

Some interesting modern pieces. I definitely needed a guide to walk me through the exhibits, but didn't get one. No charge to get in, but they suggest a donation. You can easily go through the museum in a couple hours.

Cool spot with modern exhibitions that stand out to make MCA unique. It's a pretty small museum, so you can spend a short amount of time here if you'd like....
