Maddon's Post

Maddon's Post - Chicago

What happens when a James Beard Award winning/Michelin-starred chef collaborates with a World Series champion winning manager on a restaurant project? The end result in Chicago is Maddon's Post--named for Chicago Cubs manager Joe Maddon and cheffed by the venerable chef Tony Mantuano of Levy Restaurants (Cafe Spiaggia, River Roast, Spiaggia, Terzo Piano).

Adjacent to Wrigley Field, the restaurant is on two levels with a sports bar atmosphere on the first level and private dining on the top in the Flamingo Room. There are televisions everywhere so fans won't miss the big games, and roomy booths are large enough to fit up to six.

Highlights on the all-day menu include lasagna rolls, wood-fired pork ribs, a grilled polish and Italian sausage platter and oysters (wood fired or served raw). Dessert consists of chocolate paczkis accompanied by strawberry jam.

Late-night bites are available after 10pm. They range from all pork "city chicken" and fried chicken wings to wood-fired pizzas such as roasted mushroom, pepperoni and the signature pie (sausage, green olives, mushrooms, pomodoro).
