Federales - Chicago
This successful collaboration between Hogsalt (Au Cheval, Doughnut Vault, Gilt Bar) and Four Corners Tavern Group is the West Loop's answer to Wicker Park taco joint Big Star. Federales is just as boisterous, but with multiple televisions, frozen margaritas and liquor poured into shot glasses made of ice.
Summer shines at Federales as the spacious "tequila garden" is a popular after-work hangout for those who live and work in the area. The menu consists of share-able finger foods like tacos, nachos, ceviche and queso fundido.
And for those coming for liquid delights--beyond the shots and margaritas of course--there are original frozen drinks, sangria and an Oaxacan-inspired Old Fashioned. There's also a Federales-wrapped trolley that takes guests to and from the United Center during games and concerts.
