I give this place 4.5 stars for food/ambience and 2 stars for service. I don't normally care about service, but my partner and I had a noticeably strange experience when we ate here last month. When we arrived, the waiter/host ignored us despite the restaurant being empty on a Friday evening. There was no sign saying to seat ourselves, so we waited a few minutes then asked if we could pick a table, to which they said yes. It was an odd first impression. We ordered tacos and a warm chocolate chip cookie, all of which was tasty. When it was time for the bill, a different person (the chef?) came out to ring us up. He tried being friendly and asking us questions about ourselves, but ended up giving us rude, unsolicited life advice. I politely disagreed with him, hoping he would get the hint that he should change the subject, but he continued on for several more minutes. I could tell his intentions were good, but the whole thing made me uncomfortable. I'm bummed because I really wanted to love this place. Hopefully C&C uses this constructive feedback to improve their customer service.
