Big Mike's Steakhouse - Thomasville
Pals Mike Cole, Scott Powell, and Caine Conway are behind the Big Mike's Steakhouse concept in Alabama. There's the original Thomasville location, plus outposts in Andalusia, Auburn, Gunterville, Moundville, and Orange Beach. Steaks at Big Mike's are wood-fire grilled and pair nicely with the restaurant's signature, from-scratch seafood gumbo or char-grilled oysters.
Big Mike's serves 1855 Angus beef aged 28 days that's hand cut, marinated, seasoned with Big Mike's Seven Spice Blend, and grilled. Each arrives with a house salad, bread, and a choice of a baked potato or steak fries. Diners may choose from such favorites as "The Big Mike" 24-ounce ribeye, 14-ounce New York strip, and and chopped steak.
Entrees at Big Mike's also consist of non-steak items. There's a dozen of fried or grilled jumbo shrimp. Another specialty is the wood-fire grilled teriyaki chicken topped with grilled pineapple. And, there's always a market catch-of-the-day at Big Mike's. Diners may choose to get it blackened, grilled, or fried, then it's topped with a signature sauce and served over Cajun blackened rice or a twice-baked potato casserole.
