Avalon Steak & Seafood - Delray Beach
This tony steakhouse marks the New York-based Host Restaurants' first South Florida restaurant. Avalon Steak & Seafood is the eighth restaurant for the group, which also operates eight Manhattan eateries, including Bill’s Townhouse and Campagnola. It boasts a strong New York transplant following.
“So many of our top patrons have second homes and extended family members whom they visit in Palm Beach, Boca, Delray Beach and around South Florida, and whenever they would return to New York, they would express their wishes and wants, sharing what was missing for them with existing concepts in town,” said Host Restaurants chief Curt Huegel said in a restaurant news release. “We want our loyal guests to know that we couldn’t be more excited to reveal Avalon, a steakhouse expressly designed with these guests in mind.”
Avalon is modern and sleek and boasts a premium seafood program. Starters, for example, range from oysters on the half shell and crab cocktail to crudos. Seafood entrees include lobster tagliatelle, miso black cod, and whole roasted fish at market price.
Steak offerings range from a 14-ounce prime New York strip to a 36-ounce dry-aged tomahawk prime rib-eye.
