Weekly Planner: Fourth of July Edition

Fourth of July Party at Castaways

When it comes to celebrating the Fourth of July in Chicago, there’s no setting more appropriate than a beachside bar. Especially when said bar has red, white and blue cocktails. In honor of the holiday, Castaways at North Avenue Beach is hosting a weekend-long party with live entertainment from DJ Jem on July 1, July 2 and again on Tuesday, July 4. On Monday, July 3, Castaways will feature happy hour specials from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., including $6 Smirnoff or Absolut Lime Vodka. Additionally, the duration of the weekend and holiday, Castaways will be serving a special “Stars & Stripes” frozen cocktail. The colorful creation is a mix of Castaways’ Miami Rice and blue curacao.
