On Monday, July 3, Castaways will feature happy hour specials from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., including $6 Smirnoff or Absolut Lime Vodka. Additionally, the duration of the weekend and holiday, Castaways will be serving a special “Stars & Stripes” frozen cocktail. The colorful creation is a mix of Castaways’ Miami Rice and blue curacao.

Especially considering its River North location, utterly surrounded by bars, the restaurant is well-positioned to satisfy the masses with its new “Wok Up Window.” Located on the Hubbard Street side of the building, the window is open Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights from 10:00 p.m. until midnight, featuring snacks and hearty dishes like pumpkin puffs, mushroom buns, fried wontons, vegetable fried lamian, BBQ pork fried rice and baked char siu buns.
