Dose Market Makes its Triumphant Return

It's hard to believe Dose Market is entering its seventh season this weekend. It feels like just yesterday the craft market was enriching our lives for the first time. But then again, wonderful things make time stand still. And it's time once again to welcome Dose Market back. Like Madonna, the market seems to reinvent itself and evolve with each iteration, the latest being a dual fall showcase at Morgan Manufacturing, a sprawling new event space in the West Loop. Here's what you need to know as you go to get your dose of Dose this weekend.

Dose Market

Taking place September 21 from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Dose Market brings together some of Chicago's greatest artisans. The impressive roster reads like a Now That's What I Call Music-esque "best of" collection of chefs, artists, and designers. With 35 Dose Markets under her belt and multiple preceding seasons, founder April Francis knows how to host a thriving market and keep people coming back for more. The ethos for Dose is to curate an all-encompassing smorgasbord of provisions and goods for the city-dwelling connoisseur, providing an enticing and unique array of up-and-coming purveyors and creatives. New businesses get to showcase their wares will eager shoppers get to explore new products -- it's a win-win!

The theme for the September 21 Dose is Dose Bomb, featuring 88 vendors of both newcomers and mainstays, plus a performance by White Mystery and audiovisual work by We Theory. Vendors this weekend include Pour Souls Mixology, Few Spirits, La Sirena Clandestina, Owen + Alchemy, and Next Star Vodka for bar and beverage; Parson's Chicken & Fish, Celeste, The Winchester, and the Eastman Egg Company among brunch options; Publican Quality Meats, Matador Sharp, Stu's Kitchen, Pear Tree Preserves, and more for pantry provisions; Stan's Donuts & Coffee, Smashed Muffin, Veruca Chocolates, and more for confections.
