Tao was great! Our server, Antonio, took really good care of us & provided great service. The restaurant is beautiful and although the food was a little pricey, the experience makes it worth it! They aren’t kidding when they say the spicy mustard is spicy! 🌶

The interior decor is very nice and attractive. It is the first thing that impresses you and hence is an ideal location if you are looking for a place to celebrate a special date. I ordered bamboo steamed dumplings and the pad Thai noodles. Both dishes were good.. honestly speaking pad Thai noodles were on a bit sweeter side but I liked it.

3/5 simply because the tables are small so you have to be careful if you have appetizers and extra cups at the tables. The servers don’t know who food is who so you have to be extra careful when rearranging the plates to whomever it goes to. They ask for a deposit but I had to mention it when they brought the bill because it wasn’t taken off initially. Nice ambiance. Fantastic DJ. Good food.

TAO Chicago is a whole vibe, you have to luv the ambiance of the restaurant. The decor takes you to another place , to experience the culture. This such a beautiful romantic restaurant, a splendid place for a date with someone special. The food was good and the service was great. The waitress took time to explain the portion sizes and what was in the dish. Because you have to try something new, that my motto when ever I go somewhere for the first time. I will definitely be back for more, oh the drinks were great 👍. The restaurant is a little on the pricey side but worth it. The TAO is harmony of all things in line with the natural order of the universe, take the time to to enjoy. You deserve it!!!

Arguably the BEST place to have dinner in the city of Chicago. Excellent overall experience, the food was 5 stars, the service was top notch, the desert was presentable and mouth watering. The servers really took care of us. Bill was almost $1000 for 5 people, worth every penny. Would highly recommend!!

First, the many many positives: the decor is so pretty, and the atmosphere is great! The staff were incredibly kind and the whole place is clean and aesthetically pleasing. The food varies widely in price, but other than the steaks, most of the prices are reasonable. The food is also delicious, and they have a menu that indicates dishes that can be made vegan or gluten free. The server even asked up front if any of us have any allergies, which was really appreciated! The salmon avocado roll was so good, the addition of dill on it was such a nice touch. The drinks were also great and strong! The reason for losing a star is that 1) twice I ordered something, only for the server to apologize and say they were out. 2) one of those times the server also said that even though it said on the menu the spicy tuna roll was gluten free, it actually wasn’t. So I’m glad I had a server who was well aware of allergies.
