Woodstock Opera House - Woodstock

Built in 1889, the Opera House is one of the oldest continuously operating theaters

Saw Piano man tonight. Decent show and the Opera house is a beautiful building. I would like to suggest in hope's of a more enjoyable experience next time that more ventilation or rotating fans or SOMETHING be done to cool down the balcony area seats. It was VERY warm up there tonight and the difference could be felt once we started downstairs for intermission.

Absolutely beautiful venue to watch any type of performance. I was there to watch a play and was surprised how nice it was. They do have a bar with drinks and some snacks that seemed decently priced. My only criticism would be how the very edge seats have such a horrible view of the stage. For certain events this may not be as important but for the play we were seeing it mattered. Luckily there was plenty of seats to shift too and nobody cared if you were in the seat you bought or not.

As always, the Woodstock Opera is a historic & beautiful place to go for entertainment. I have many memories of great shows here from childhood all the way to recent events. AJ Croce performed here on 3/20/2022. He honored his father, Jim, with some of the familiar songs from the 60s and 70s. AJ also performed his own music and showed everyone how talented he is. He blew me away with his piano playing & his absolute love of what he does. So, Sunday night at the Opera House was exceptionally fun for us, again!

Beautiful building inside and out (note: there are quite a few stairs. Not sure if there's an elevator). Saw the Nutcracker Ballet and it was simply wonderful.
