VU Rooftop Bar - Chicago
Located just south of the South Loop, and adjacent to McCormick Place, VU Rooftop Bar gives guests a great view of Chicago's outstanding skyline. The establishment is 13,000 square feet and 22 stories high.
It's from the same team that's behind The Roof at thewit, so they know the rooftop bar concept well. The chic destination attracts local residents as well as a good after-work crowd for a globally inspired menu and craft cocktails.
Menu highlights are aplenty, with many offerings shareable. A crudite board, for example, includes roasted, raw, grilled and preserved vegetables. There's also crispy Spanish octopus, spicy sausage flatbread, salmon tartare and Korean short ribs on the menu.
Weekend brunch is also popular with nearby hotel guests and area residents. High on the list are dishes like the lobster chilaquiles, pork belly hash, and a signature brunch sandwich filled with braised short rib, fried egg, shallot jam and provolone.
