Tufano's Vernon Park Tap - Chicago
Worth the little hike after a night at the United Center, this Little Italy institution has seen the likes of Dolly Parton and famed politicians.

I went here a very long time ago with my sister. I heard it had Great reviews. My sister took me there for my birthday. We had a wonderful time and the food was amazing and the staff were so nice! This was back around 2005. I want to go there again, but I'm disabled now and I use an electric wheelchair. I'm also not living in Chicago anymore. I live in Rockford. Anyway, I will always have great memories of that time!
What a great Italian meal! Best in Chicago. Fresh seafood. Good service. Will come back again
Everything you want in an Italian restaurant. And more!! The food. Divine. The prices. Perfect. The staff. Wonderful. A true gem of Chicago!
So good. So charming. So delicious. And dirt cheap. One of my favorites in the city. Got a half order of lemon chicken for like 10 smackers, and barely finished half of it.
Great little Italy neighborhood joint. It's a hidden little secret/ unless your familiar with the area or referred to by someone. I stopped today for...
I've been here a few times and have always loved my meals, as well as the attentive and kind service. Running out of cash is never an issue because there is an ATM on-site. The outdoor terrace as well as the indoor eating experience are both fantastic. My favorite dish is the chicken picante with pine nuts, which I highly recommend! I love bread and butter, and you get it for free when you sit down. Apart from tea and coffee, I wish they offered more non-alcoholic and non-soda beverages, but the cuisine is good. The one dish I didn't enjoy was the bruschetta, which had a strong tomato flavor that overpowered the other items.
I really liked this eatery because of its laid-back, family-friendly atmosphere. Tufanos Lemon Chicken (just crispy enough with a wonderful lemon taste that didn't overwhelm) and Eggplant Parm were our choices. The flavors were fantastic, and the eggplant layers were thin and delicate. I prefer a little more breading on this dish, but it was still delicious. They have a fantastic Chianti—we shared a liter and had no regrets.
I always enjoy eating at Tufano's. I've been here with my dad, with a few family members, and with large groups of 10-20+ of us, and we've always had a good experience. The food is consistently good and reasonably priced.
One of the oldest restaurants in Chicago. Great staff, even better food. Very close to the Credit 1 Chicago venue as well, being the perfect pregame for your favorite shows. Can't go wrong here.
Awesome food. Knowledgeable and attractive Waitress who memorized our order. Very good authentic Italian cuisine in a homey environment. Fabulous old Athlete and Politician photos from the 30's through the 60's adorn the walls.
25+ years I have come here, mostly before Blackhawk games. Clearly Covid has had a Negative effect. Tasteless sauce in the marinara. Brothy sauce in the...
Well I made it to the place I was wanting to do my 1,000th review on - but three reviews too late! Been several years since I last visited and I'm happy to...
